Jeffrey Staszak joined Volterra as our President and Chief Operating Officer in March 1999, and has been our Chief Executive Officer since August 2000 and a member of our Board since April 2000. Prior to joining Volterra, Mr. Staszak was Senior Vice President in the Storage Products Group of Texas Instruments Inc., a semiconductor company, from July 1996 to March 1999. From May 1993 to July 1996, Mr. Staszak served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Storage Products Division of Silicon Systems, Inc., a semiconductor company then affiliated with TDK Corporation. Mr. Staszak holds a B.S. in Industrial Technology from the University of Wisconsin Stout and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.
Mike Burns Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Mike Burns joined Volterra as our Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer in August 2007. Before joining Volterra, Mr. Burns worked at Intel for 15 years in a variety of senior financial management positions. Prior to that he worked in public accounting. Mr. Burns holds a B.A. in Economics and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University; and an M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
William Numann Senior Vice President of New Product Development
William Numann has been serving as our Senior Vice President of New Product Development since January 2011. Mr. Numann has previously served as our Vice President of Marketing since joining Volterra in November 2000. Prior to joining Volterra, Mr. Numann was Vice President of Standard Products of Supertex, Inc., a semiconductor company, from October 1997 to October 2000. From June 1985 to September 1997, Mr. Numann served as Product Marketing and Applications Director at Siliconix, Inc., a semiconductor company. Mr. Numann holds a B.S.E.E. and an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Craig Teuscher Senior Vice President of Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance
Craig Teuscher co-founded Volterra and has served as our Senior Vice President of Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance since January 2011. Dr. Teuscher previously served as our Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Applications Engineering since January 2009, Vice President of Sales and Applications Engineering since January 2003, and as our Director of Applications Engineering from July 1998 to January 2003. From September 1996 to May 2005, Dr. Teuscher also served as a member of our board of directors. Dr. Teuscher holds a B.S.E.E. from Princeton University and an M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
Thomas Truman Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Thomas Truman has served as our Vice President of Worldwide Sales since January 2011. Dr. Truman joined Volterra in 2004 and has served in various capacities in our Sales and Business Development organizations, including most recently as our Vice President of North American and European Sales since January 2009. Prior to joining Volterra, Dr. Truman worked in marketing and product management roles at Agere Systems and Internet Photonics, and was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories. Dr. Truman received a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, with a minor in Management of Technology from the University of California at Berkley.
Ognjen Djekic Vice President of Applications Engineering
Ognjen Djekic has served as our Vice President of Applications Engineering since July 2010. Dr. Djekic joined Volterra in January 2000 and has served in various capacities in our Systems Engineering and Applications Engineering organizations. Prior to joining Volterra, Dr. Djekic was a Graduate Research Assistant at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. Dr. Djekic holds a B.S.E.E. from the University of Maryland at College Park, and an M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology.
David Lidsky Vice President of R&D Advanced Circuit Design
David Lidsky co-founded Volterra in 1996 and has been serving as our Vice President of R&D Advanced Circuit Design since January 2010. Dr. Lidsky has previously served as our Vice President of Design Engineering since July 2004, and in various design engineering roles prior to that. Dr. Lidsky holds a B.S.E.E from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and an M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
David Ng Vice President of World Wide Operations
David Ng was named Vice President of World Wide Operations for Volterra in October 2007 while still serving as Managing Director of Volterra Singapore since 2001. Before joining Volterra, Mr. Ng served as Vice President of Asia Manufacturing Operations and General Manager at Zilog Inc from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that he was Vice President of World Wide IC Assembly & Test Operations and Managing Director for Silicon Systems Inc in Singapore from 1987 to 1999. Mr. Ng holds a B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology from Cogswell College, San Francisco, CA; and an M.B.A. from Strathclyde University, Scotland.
David Oh Vice President of Legal Affairs, General Counsel and Secretary
David Oh has served as our Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel since January 2009 and Secretary since April 2009. Mr. Oh joined Volterra in 2006 as our Director of Legal Affairs. Prior to joining Volterra, Mr. Oh was an Associate in the Corporate and Securities Group at Cooley LLP from 1999 to 2006. Mr. Oh received a B.A. in English Literature from the University of California at Los Angeles, received his J.D., cum laude, from Santa Clara University School of Law and received his M.B.A. from Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business. Mr. Oh is a member of the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Anthony Stratakos Senior Vice President of Advanced Research and Development
Anthony Stratakos co-founded Volterra in 1996 and has been serving as our Senior Vice President of Advanced Research and Development since January 2011. Dr. Stratakos previously served as our Chief Scientist since January 2008, as our Vice President of Advanced Research and Development and Chief Technology Officer since October 1997, and led our product development efforts in various capacities prior to that. Dr. Stratakos was also a member of our board of directors from September 1996 to January 2008. Dr. Stratakos holds a B.S.E.E. and an M.S.E.E. from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
Achilleas Veziris Vice President of Quality & Reliability, Manufacturing Engineering
Achilleas Veziris joined Volterra as Vice President of Quality & Reliability, Manufacturing Engineering in July 2007. Before joining Volterra, Mr. Veziris was Vice President of Quality & Reliability at LSI Logic from March 2006 to July 2007. In 1995, Mr. Veziris joined Cyrix Corporation and held the position of Quality Director until the company was acquired by National Semiconductor, where he then served as Senior Director of Quality until March 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Veziris had worked for the Semiconductor Division of Raytheon Company since 1987, and held various positions in Product & Quality Management. Mr. Veziris holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University.
Marco Zuniga Vice President of IC Technology and Process Development
Marco Zuniga co-founded Volterra and has been our Vice President of IC Technology and Process Development since July 2004. Dr. Zuniga held various positions at Volterra, most recently as our Director of IC Technology. Dr. Zuniga holds a B.S.E.E. from the University of Texas at Austin, and an M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
